All maps are courtesy of P.E. Robinson and A.V. Kiryushkin, and come from their book "Russian Railway Postmarks," published in 1994 by John Barefoot. They compiled and self-published the "List of Post Offices in the Russian Empire," which contains a list of over 25,000 post offices and is a veritable goldmine of information about the Russian Postal System with correct spellings of all locations during the period under discussion. Warchron is grateful for their contribution. Please contact P.E.Pobinson if you are interested in their philatelic efforts. |
